Too Faced Glamour To Go - Spun Sugar Edition


Spun Sugar Edition is my first Too Faced palette.  I bought it on the Asos for about 10 pounds, and the regular price is around 20 pounds. So this was a good deal.


This palette is a limited edition from the Holiday collection of 2012. It looks so gorgeous, romantic and so girly, and it contains everything what every girl needs for a complete makeup.


Palette contains a mirror, 8 eyeshadows, a highlighter, a lipgloss and a bronzer, and the highlighter, a lipgloss and a bronzer are under the eyeshadows, so they need to be pulled out to use.

This is a perfect palette for traveling, because it is so small and can fit into any bag. I love how the whole package looks and it is so practical to use. 


This palette contains various combination of colors, so they can easily be used for a day or a night look. 

The eyeshadows are a bit hard when I touch them, but the brush is picking it very well. They are easy to work with, and lasted for the whole afternoon on my lids with a base. The lighter shades are a less pigmented than the darker ones. But that is not surprisignly at all when it comes to any colors.

A highlighter has a fall outs, and I'm not very impressed with it, maybe it's because I already used to another highlighter in my stash, and I prefer them better. 

A Bronzer is matte, and it does contain a tiny particles in it but they are not noticable at all, so it can be used for a contouring, and would be great for the summer.  

A Lipgloss is completly sheer, and has a tiny golden particles in it, which are very nice on the lips. But I don't like the fact that the lipgloss stands between a highlighter and a bronzer, because it becomes all messy.  


I read on the internet how the Glamour To Go palettes are not highly pigmented, but to me, this one is ok. I don't own any other Glamour To Go palette so I can't tell you my opinion on that, but I like to think that this one, because it is the latest in Glamour To Go collection, is improved and better than the last versions.

Difference between:: Bronzing powder, Highlighter and Illuminator


I'll try to explain the difference between a bronzer, highlighter and illuminator, the way I learn about it. Hope this post will also help YOU to understand the difference.

You should remember that all this products are multipurpose, and in most cases you can use them in more than a one way. Let's start with ...

Bronzers - they can be liquid, compact, mineral, shimmer, matte... so sometimes it is hard to decide which one to buy, but they all have the same function - to achieve "a sun looking" skin. Matte bronzers or darker compact powder are great for adding depth to your cheek bones (contouring), they contain small amount of shimmer, so your face won't look like a disco ball. And they can also be wear all over the face, to make your face look darker, especially during the summer.

Bronzing powders

Liquid bronzers can also be used all over the face or you can mix it with foundation to add a bit of a color to your face. Shimmer bronzers are great for some parts of the face, like cheek bones, neck, shoulders ... what ever you wan't but try to be careful so you don't end up like a disco ball. Again.  :)

Illuminators are mostly in a liquid form, and their function is to enlighten some parts of the face or the body.

Liquid Iluminators are light in color, mostly lighter than the concealers so that can enlighten your under eye areas. And it is used on top of the concealer. It can also be used under eyebrows, on the nose, on the cheeks... where ever you want to enlighten your skin.

Highlighters are very similar to illuminators, their "job" is to enlighten your skin and they are doing that but each on their own way. :) But, at the end they are actually doing the same "job" so I don't see a bit of a difference between those two products. 

Highlighters can be in a compact form or as a liquid, you can use it to add a glow on some parts of your skin like cheeks, nose, under the eyebrow, or you can use some of them as an eyeshadow. 
I'm using Essence highlighter for my under eye are, but I'm mixing it with a bit of concealer because it has a bit shimmer in it, and it is doing very nice job with enlighten my under eye area. Great product for a cheap price of 4$.

At the end I'm posting you a picture of face contouring with a bronzer, highlighter and illuminator. Lighter parts of the face are usually the places where you are adding a highliheter or/and illuminator, and darker parts are to warm your skin with bronzer.

Sephora - Sculpting Disk I was craving about this product for about 2 years from now. I finally grab the last piece in Sephora, and you can imagine how thrill I was, and I know you will be if you continue to read ...

This product comes in a hard, plastic, black, round shaped box with a big mirror in it, and it weighs 22 grams. (Malu Wilz bronzer contains 24 grams - just for comparation).

Under the cap you can find 3 rows which contains a bronzer, a powder and a highlighter. Everything you need during summer time, when your wearing lighter makeup you will find in this Sculpting Disk. 

Bronzing powder B01 (left) - is a matte, it gives you nice natural look on the face, it has a discreet shiny particles and it is great for contouring and also as a bronzer. 

Powder D20 (middle) - it is also a matte, it is more for the yellow or warm undertone. Letter D in Sephora's shade of powders means Doree (en.gold). While letter R means Rosee (en.pink) and that is for the girls with a cool undertone. This powder has a solid coverage, it is very light and it leaves your skin very smooth.

Highlighter I20 (right) - it is a shimmery and it leaves nice discreet glow on your face, it looks very nice over a bronzer, but you can use it where ever you want (cheeks, nose, under eyebrow, inner corner of eyes ...) depends what you like.

Conclusion: I really love this product. Lately I'm using it the most. I love multipurpose products which can be combined with each other. Price of this Sculpting Dick is around 16$ in Sephora. And I think it is more than worth it.

I was planing to review all my bronzing powders into one post, and then I realize that it would be better if I review Malu Wilz bronzing powder alone.

If you didn't know Malu Wilz is name of well known internationally makeup artist and her name (brand) is part of ArtDeco cosmetics.
First time I noticed this brand while I was surfing on daljepoti.hr month ago. And after that I decide to buy my first and not last product from Malu Wilza. Bronzing Powder SPF 15.

Price of this bronzing powder here in Croatia is around 25$, for 24 grams of product.

This bronzing powder comes in a hard round shaped package, with huge mirror. And for comparation in my hand I used the Lancome Mineral powder with 9.5 grams

This bronzing powder is very soft, easy to use, doesn't leave orange color on your face, it is very natural, it has little fall out, and discreet shimmer in it. And it will last forever.

I'm very happy with this purchase, people in daljepoti.hr were very kind and patient while answering my emails. I forget to add free samples in my order, and I ask them can I order them through e mail, and they let me. I wanted to try more of the Malu Wilz product, and samples are great way to do that. And I also received 2 more powder samples from BeYu for free. 

Beside daljepoti.hr I found that the Malu Wilz products can be found over ebay.de. So if you like this product (I know I do) you should try to find it, because price and weigh of this product is very reasonable.
